Curriculum Development in Systems for Smart Communications

Through a grant from the National Science Foundation Dr. Caverly and his educational research team has developed a set of web-based tutorials focusing on aspects of the design of Smart Communication Systems. These modules consist of a series of highly developed lecture notes along with accompanying streaming videos associated with the various concepts. In addition to this on-line course material, a upper division/graduate level textbook in RFIC design titled "CMOS RFIC Design Principles" (Artech House, Norwood, MA)was written based on the knowledge gained during this combined research and curriculum development project. New modules, streaming video files and reinforcement exercises will be updated or released periodically. Check often for updates!

Feedback on the modules is welcome and encouraged! Send email to the email address for Dr. Caverly indicated below.

Analog VLSI Design Resource Kit and Education Center

Through a grant from the National Science Foundation Dr. Caverly is placing analog design educational materials, a chip set, and a completely automated integrated circuit tester on the World Wide Web. Students, faculty and other interested engineers will be able to do simulations of analog circuits using SPICE files developed as part of the Analog Design Resource Kit and view the actual test results of the identical circuit on a multi-circuit test chip fabricated in 2.0 micron CMOS by MOSIS. The beta test version of the web-based education center and WEBALOG Tester is now under development and can be accessed by contacting the author here. Please note that some portions of the tester may not be available at all times due to continued development.
